The newer N20 engine no longer use the vacuum actuated waste gate, they use a electronically controlled one which helps with the noise (not sure on why just is). The metal in the oil depending on the level and size of the metal flakes could be a alarm.

If i rev the motor the vibration comes on right at about 1800 and continues all the way through 2200 rpm but then smooths out past 2500 rpm. The gear shifter incidentally shakes heavily when having the right amount of gas (like 1500 rpm). And for some reason the shaking engine also randomly disappears sometimes in the same run.

If you can hear it in the back seat of the car while just sitting it could be the fuel sending unit. there is an open recall for some models fuel sending units being faulty. WebJun 9, 2014 · They did checked on it though, and they admited there was a noise there. They never fixed mine after trying twice. Noise is still there, not everytime fan is on, but 80-90% of the time, the noise exists. After 2 attemps, they said all their 7s have it, it is commom BS. I guess it is too complicated for them to fix it, not worth the time.
