The rear wheels will be warm to the touch after driving it. So after the mechanic did the gears and brakes...its still doing it. If its pad and disc then try replacing the pads and possibly the calipers. Its very common for drum breaks to stick on this vehicle more so if it has sat for any length of time. Now all 4 brakes are working, but overall braking is so-so, an improvement, but really have to jam on the pedal to get a hard stop. Even a hard stop is so-so IMO.
