The lands are still rural and some are within a Prime Agricultural Area. WebbDifferential Geographic Positioning System (DGPS) and GIS are being used in the Pickering Airport Lands archaeological work primarily to visualize historical, archaeological and geomorphological data in order to produce as precise a record of the locations of artifacts as possible, and to document the work that has been undertaken.
