WebI have a ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 1, Type 20MF-000DUS. I have run Windows 11 successfully for some time. The laptop glitches or freezes generally shortly after it has fully booted. I'm occasionally able to begin operating normally within Windows, but within a couple of minutes the screen will glitch or everything will completely freeze. WebThe 701C has no CD drive or USB, which are the usual ways of installing FreeDOS, so it took a while to figure out how to install FreeDOS directly to the SD card. After that, I hooked the card into the ThinkPad using an IDE-to-SD card adapter, which has worked well. It's eerily quiet without the HDD.
