Before you commit to this way you should get the flange first to. 1) make sure you can get one in your area. and 2) you can measure the actual piece that will stick into the pipe, and you can figure out if your higher floor will be too high.

I plumbed the toilet flange about 5/8" too high out of the basement floor and had to cut a piece of 5/8" floor underlayment to raise the height of the toilet base. The toilet would have just rocked on top of the plastic closet flange.
